These days it's very far and in between when you come across REAL and GENUINELY GOOD people, let me tell you, when you do, you can't ever thank them enough for all they do and have done for you; they're most certainly angels sent to live amongst us! My business partner and I started with internet sales, but we really wanted to own a physical store. We researched numerous of the popular franchises out there in the video game business. Once we say the price these franchises were charging our dreams were shattered. We knew there was no way we could afford to pay the upfront costs let alone the royalties. Then we found the Capital Games website. I must say I was very skeptical due to the low start up cost. I decided to contact them, since I had nothing to lose.

The guys from Capital Games have been outstanding. I'm amazed as I stand in my store and look around to see how they delivered exactly what they said they would. Our idea for opening our own store started about 8 months ago when we first saw the advertisement from Capital Games for owning your own game store. We were pretty skeptical at first and the idea got put on the back burner for a while. About 3 months ago we decided to reach out to Mike at Capital Games just to get some information and possibly start the process rolling. Mike was very approachable and available for any questions that we came up with. Once our plans became finalized and we were ready to move forward with the process, Mike was there every step of the way. When it came time to do the in store setup, the guys at Capital Games were here every day until late in the evening to make sure we were able to meet our deadlines. The quality of work that was done definitely sets us apart from the any of the other local retailers and the feedback we are receiving from our customers is Outstanding. Our store was stocked with the latest titles on opening day and a huge selection of quality pre-owned games, DVD's and Blu-Ray movies.

 

If you're interested in owning your own store then these are definitely the guys to go with. We've been open now for a little over a week and the support is still there. Something 2 Do, Louisville KY

Something 2 Do is a retail hobby store that has been in business for 35 years at the Oxmoor Mall in Louisville KY. Over the years we have concentrated on providing our customers with the best when it comes to strategy games, puzzles, and toys. However, with the added competition of new strip malls and hobby shops it became apparent we had to diversify and expand our product line to remain competitive. So, we added Magic the Gathering and other offerings that appealed to gamers. The bottom line increased, but we still weren't seeing the numbers we had seen in the past.

 

Our next endeavor to increase business and foot traffic was to add video games and accessories. However, we had little to no experience in this industry, and we found it very difficult to find the appropriate vendors and the help we needed to get this product line in the store. My efforts to add this product line was about to come to an end until I found what turned out to be my knight in shining armor-Capital Games.

 

The guys at Capital Games put together a package that included store lay-out, new and pre-owned inventory, signage, computer software, and most importantly, the necessary contacts in the video game industry. The package was very affordable and included the training of every employee. What's more, and this is the real kicker, they're store set-up and services are based on one fee, that's it. It's not like a franchise, where they basically own a piece of your business.

 

On a scale of one to ten, they're certainly a 10, and they don't disappear after the sale. It's also worth noting, since the addition of the video games and movies, business has increased dramatically.
